How to Update Mobile Device From Nokia Ovi Suite:

1-      Click Start

2-      Point to Programs

3-      Point to Nokia (submenu)

4-      Click Nokia Ovi Suite

Or just Double Clit Ovi sutie from taskbar icon (Nokia Ovi sutie start each time windows restarted)

5-      Sign in with your Nokia Ovi Suite

6-      Click Tools menu

7-      Click Software update (computer internet connection should be working)

Software updates will show which update is available at this time.

8-      Click Install button (Next to your mobile device)

This will check again for all updates available to your device

9-      Check mark multiple option (you may want to update)

10-  Click Install

All updated will downloaded to (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nokia\Nokia Service Layer\A\nsl_service_module_00001\vpls\www.dsut.online.nokia.com.oti.caresuite\-- folder)

Your hand set will restart during installation, Windows detect new hardware, Keep eye on setup, but do not cancel, or don’t use mobile hand set during installation

After restart mobile hand set, set date & time

11-  Enter date and ok button from handset

Your device software has been successfully installed.

Click Finish to close window

How to Sign in Nokia Ovi Suite Account Using Nokia Ovi Suite:

1-      Click Start

2-      Point to Programs

3-      Point to Nokia (submenu)

4-      Click Nokia Ovi Suite

5-      Attach mobile device (via USB-cable, or any available connection type)

6-      Click Next

7-      Click “I already have a Nokia account”

Or click just type your valid email address and username, and set any password for it

8-      Enter username and password

9-      Click Next button

10-  Click “Unblock” button (Windows Security Alert: Do you want to keep Blocking this program - Nokia Ovi Suite)

11-  Click “Unblock” button (Windows Security Alert: Do you want to keep Blocking this program - Nokia service Layer Host process).

1-      Click here to download Nokia Ovi Suite for free. select your handset and download to local drive)

2-      Double Click on file “Nokia_Ovi_Suite_webinstaller_ALL” (where you have save it)

3-      Click Run (if asked)

It will be Launch Setup, and check automatically for latest version, After Completing checking process,

4-      Select your Language (Just after downloading is finished) Default language is English (US)

5-      Click Install button

6-      Click “I accept” (Read SOFTWARE AGREEMENT)

7-      Click “Start Nokia Ovi Suite” button after completed installation (check mark “Help us to improve our products and services by sharing your diagnostic information with Nokia.” Optional, follow instruction

8-      Attach mobile device. (all needed driver will be automatically installed, wait until all driver are installed properly)

9-      Click Next (After device is connected)

Remember:

Nokia Ovi Suite must be installed at default location “C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite” and can’t be modified during installation.

5-      Click “Update phone software” icon from option view at Right Side (Most Right icon in 4 Line from top)

a.       Click File menu

b.      Click “Update Phone software”

It ask for download “Nokia Ovi suite Now?”

6-      Click Accept button

7-      Click Download button (Label Download and install update)

Make sure Nokia Ovi suite 2 update is selected (it will start downloading, make sure your internet connection is working)

8-      Select your Language (Just after downloading is finished) Default language is English (US)

9-      Click Install button

10-  Click “I accept” (Read SOFTWARE AGREEMENT)

During installation, setup detect mobile device connected, just do it

11-  Remover cables from computer and mobile

12-  Click Retry button.

13-  Click “Start Nokia Ovi Suite” button after completed installation (check mark “Help us to improve our products and services by sharing your diagnostic information with Nokia.” Optional, follow instruction

14-  Attach mobile device. (all needed driver will be automatically installed, wait until all driver are installed properly)

15-  Click Next (After device is connected)

Nokia ovi suite is ready and all driver for handset are installed, Sign in

How to Backup Mobile with Nokia PC Suite:

1-      Open Nokia PC suite and connect your mobile (with any available connection type)

See, your device name and connection type just above in mobile preview

2-      Click Make a backup Icon (see in options view at right side, 1^st in most top left line)

See your device listed just below top of Backup and restore Label

Or,

a.       Click File

b.      Backup

Confirm your mobile device listed and selected just below “Backup and restore label” see top-left corner Nokia Content Copier window.

3-      Click Backup button label “Back up the desired phone contents to a backup file which is saved on the PC.”

4-      Select categories to backup up (multiple choice)

a.       User files from the phone memory

b.      User files from a memory card

c.       Contacts

d.      Calendar

e.       Notes

f.       Messages

g.      Bookmarks

h.      Setting

5-      Click Next button (Right side directed arrow)

6-      Enter a new path or browse (where backup file created)

7-      Click Next button

8-      Click Finish button (After completed).

How to Uninstall Nokia PC Suite:

1-      Click Start

2-      Point to Programs

3-      Point to Nokia PC Suite (submenu)

4-      Click "Uninstall Nokia PC Suite”

Nokia Pc Suite setup will be launched

5-      Click Uninstall button (Label “Uninstall” Uninstall Nokia PC Suite)

6-      Click Finish button (Uninstallation completed).

Install Nokia Mobile on Nokia PC suite

After just installation is completed, connected wizard will be launched, follow these instructions to connect your mobile handset with computer using Nokia Pc Suite.

1-      Click “Right side directed arrow” button (Label with “Next”)

2-      Use one of connected type, combo option (or any connection type available in your computer)

b.      Infrared connection (Turn on infrared option from both computer and handset)

c.       Bluetooth connection (Turn on Bluetooth option from both computer and handset)

3-      Click “Right side directed arrow” button (Label with “Next”)

It will detect handset and installation of hardware wizard launched

4-      Click one of option (Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software?)

a.       Yes, this time only

b.      Yes, now and every time I connect a device

c.       No, not this time

5-      Click Cancel button (after cancel Let windows install other drivers automatically)

6-      Use Install the software automatically (Recommended)

7-      Click Finish button (See Nokia Pc suite, connection setup for your handset is listed in available connection)

8-      Click any option one of the… (Nokia PC Suite, improve products and services by participate

a.       Participate (Click finish button, and follow instruction)

b.      Do no participate (Click Finish button)

Your mobile handset will be connected with computer using Nokia PC Suite.

Nokia PC Suite program will be launched.

3-      Click Run (if asked)

4-      Click “Right side directed arrow” button (For installation)

5-      Click “I accept the terms in the license agreement.” (Read before continue License agreement)

6-      Click “Right side directed arrow” button (Label with “Continue installation”)

7-      Type a new installation path or just browse (Default installation path is “C:\Program Files\Nokia”)

8-      Click “Right side directed arrow” button (Label with “Continue installation”)

9-      Click “Right side directed arrow” again (Start to install Nokia Pc Suite)

10-  Click Finish button (Installation completed).
